A ChequerBoard Obsession

A ChequerBoard Obsession

This falls under things I still love in 2024 🙂 The chequered trend! I know it’s trending, but how can you NOT love a soft chequered Beni Ourain?!

In the world of interior design, trends come and go, but some patterns stand the test of time, transcending eras and styles with their timeless appeal. One such classic pattern is the chequered board, a design motif that has been adorning interiors for centuries. I love the idea of mixing and matching patterns and colours for a personalized look. Experiment with different scale variations, such as large-scale checks for a bold statement or small-scale checks for a more delicate touch. Mix contrasting colours for high-impact drama, or opt for tonal variations for a more subtle effect.

Trend or not? What do you think, is chequerboard something to incorporate in your home? Here’s some of my favourite ways. Images via Pinterest.
