I’m so excited to finally share the story behind our newest collaboration—a project that has been a true labor of love! If you’ve followed Spases for a while, you know I’ve always been drawn to Moroccan-inspired design. There’s just something magical about the textures, colours, and craftsmanship that tell a story.

As much as I wanted to continue curating authentic Moroccan pieces for Spases, it’s been challenging to bring these collections into South Africa over the past few years. That’s when inspiration struck—I wondered, why not create a Moroccan-inspired collection right here, in partnership with someone who shares the same love for craftsmanship and intentional design?

I couldn’t think of a better partner to help me bring the vision to life than Gabi from Homely Collection. We’ve talked about collaborating for ages, but finding the right project took time. Gabi is a textile artist who approaches her work with the same commitment to sustainability, integrity, and care for every detail that I do at Spases. She creates beautiful tufted pillows and rugs, each piece handmade with purpose and intention. Working together, it was like everything just clicked—our brands aligned effortlessly, and we could focus on bringing Morocco’s warmth and artistry to life through our combined creativity.

With Gabi’s help, I’ve created a collection that’s rich in texture and color, inspired by the Moroccan designs I’ve always loved, but with a touch of our own unique styles. Each piece is handmade here in South Africa with the same care, attention to detail, and sustainable practices that guide both of our brands. I’m so proud to be able to offer you a collection that doesn’t just bring beauty into your home but carries the story of two creators working with heart and intention.
