Last week my trainer changed up my workouts by taking a suspension class! It involves lots of core strength and balance. Hopefully we can progress to a point where your body is completely inverted throughout the workout!
Agility Durban offers suspension training and Pilates and they are based at the Design Factory off Umgeni road.
Besides a cool workout, the space is decorated in cool, calming tones. Completely zen! I spotted these geometric ornaments that I’ve been dying over for the longest time and can’t seem to find anywhere! Go to Agility Durban if you’re keen to check it out.
At this first official post of 2015, I’d like to wish everyone a happy new year! I’ve been on holiday and so has my blog, I’ve been feeling so guilty about not writing, but I’m back I just had to write about visiting Vamp in Cape Town, Woodstock for me was filled with inspiration that I so needed!
After following Vamp Furniture on Instagram for the longest time, I was finally able to visit their store in Woodstock while in Cape Town.
I loved everything in sight! The style of furniture is very mid century modern and I could see so many pieces working in our space. I was very interested in a beautiful bookcase that would work perfectly, but was quickly reminded of our “priority” list, yes we have one, if your wish list is as long as mine, you NEED a priority list!
It feels like the holidays are here already! I haven’t written a post because I’ve been on holiday mode now since mid November!
As you know, I’ve been on the hunt for one more dining chair to complete our mismatched dining look. I had been looking for a Bentwood chair, but changed my mind at the last minute for another spindle chair. This past weekend the hubster and I visited Jude’s Barn in Camperdown just before Pmb. My nail lady had initially told me about the place and we decided to have a look.. To say I’m gobsmacked is an understatement!
If ever, I mean ever you’re looking for that one particular piece and just can’t find it in the shops, or you’re looking for a more lived in aesthetic, this is the place!! There are rooms upon rooms of furniture, decorative items, garden furniture, whatever. I cannot stop gushing about this place. I needed at least 5 hours to scour through everything. I did find my Bentwood, but when I saw this blond Spindle chair I preferred it for our look we have going on.
If ever you’re in the area visit them, its definitely worth the drive. In other news, I have decided to sell the cafè style chairs we had initially, I’ve tried them elsewhere in the house, but I’m not feeling the look. So, their available for R600 for the pair
In my effort to start a succulent garden of sorts I visited The Potting Shed last week. My succulents quickly took a backseat as I ambled through this antique filled house. I’m not a huge French colonial fan, but this place is beautifully decorated with finds that the owner has sourced.
The house is filled with furniture to linens to pretty doorknobs. Eventually finding the outside nursery, I’m thinking about which pieces would work where instead of focusing on my task at hand. That being said, if you’re into French colonial decor, The Potting Shed is your rabbit hole
I’ve spent most of last week and this weekend exploring, trying to find new spots to get some inspiration.
Patio and Outdoor in Hillcrest, I’d read about somewhere and I’ve been wanting to check it out for a while now. With us trying to add some character to our patch of grass, I thought this was the perfect spot. They have a mixture of garden furniture (lots of wrought iron that can almost look like it’s been in your garden forever, which I love!) and decorative items for outside. My pics aren’t the greatest, but check them out if you’re in the area!
